Car parking and vehicular access to the re:fresh08 site

Parking
There are a number of car parks around the town and the following car parks give good access to Central park, normal parking charges will apply:-
• High Chelmer Multi storey car park  - which will remain open until 11.30pm each evening.
• Writtle Road, adjacent to the Essex Cricket ground
• The Civic Theatre car park off Coval lane
• Meteor Way car park off Waterhouse Lane

Coach drop off points
Coaches or minibuses with able-bodied passengers can drop off and pick up at:
• Bell mead, Market square adjacent to the park entrance
• Viaduct Road off Parkway, Southbound – near the pedestrian underpass to the park

Access for infirm or disabled
People with Electric ‘Buggies’ can drive into the park and up to the marquee

People with Blue parking badges and People who need to come by minibus can drive into the park from Waterhouse Lane, near the river bridge, and along to the viaduct to park adjacent to the bowls pavilion. There is limited parking here so it may be necessary for minibuses to leave the site and return to collect passengers after the event.

People who need to come by minibus can be dropped off and picked up at:-
• The hard standing close to the skate board area, with tarmac paths leading to the site – access to this is from Parkway Northbound adjacent to the skate board area. Minibuses can only drop off and pick up they need to be taken off site to park elsewhere.
• Bell Mead, Market Square adjacent to the park entrance – a walk of about 200 yards.

Note access from Parkway to the hard-standing near the skateboard area is for setting up and removing the Marquee and tents displays etc only.
