Road Show takes Primary Schools by storm!

Staff and pupils from St John Payne School have been travelling around the Primary Schools of the Mid Essex area with a spectacular Road Show of singing, dancing, acting, prayer, reflection, story telling and personal witness.  The theme of the Road Show is “God Loves Us” and the young people are inspirational in their witness to their Christian faith.

The show is part of the Chelmsford Christian Festival in July 2008, and focuses upon aspects of the Christian faith that are common to all denominations.

The Road Show includes twenty pupils aged 11-18 and it will visit 10 Primary Schools in the Mid Essex area.  The Christian message will also be proclaimed to members of the local community who have been invited to take part at each celebration.  Mr Hayes, Headteacher of Our Lady Immaculate School said:  “It truly was a happy, fun morning, putting across such an important message, not only to the children but also as a good reminder to those adults present, what life is really about.”

Deputy Headteacher Des Kelly said:  “These young people are an inspiration to young and old alike.  They recognise the importance of witness in our world today and show us that there is no community without commitment.”

The Road Show has been extremely well received by the Primary Schools and the young children have been enthusiastic and receptive to the message proclaimed.

• Monday 4th February – Kings Road Primary, Chelmsford
• Friday 8th February – St. Philip’s Priory Primary, Chelmsford
• Friday 7th March – Barnes Farm Junior, Chelmsford
• Friday 14th March – Cathedral C of E Primary, Chelmsford
